A 39-year-old Toms River man was flown to St. Barnabas Burn Center Monday afternoon after he was seriously injured in a boat fire at a Brick Township marina, police said.
The man -- whom police are not identifying -- was working on a boat at Lightning Jack’s Marina on Route 70 when the boat caught fire, Detective Sgt. Henry Drew of the Brick Township Police Department said.
Police responded to the emergency call about 2:30 p.m., Drew said, and the man was flown by MONOC1 from the old Foodtown site just across Route 70 to the burn center in Livingston.
