Toms River Woman Charged In Horse Thefts Accused Of Credit Card Fraud: Brick Police
She is accused of using a stolen card to make purchases of more than $400 at 7-Eleven and Designer Shoe Warehouse in Brick, police said.

BRICK, NJ — A Toms River woman who was recently arrested on charges of stealing horses in Jackson and Howell has been charged in connection with the use of a stolen credit card, Brick Township police said Wednesday.
Katie Meo, 25, of Toms River, turned herself in at the Brick Township Police Department headquarters and has been charged with theft of a computer access device for using another person’s ATM card in several stores, Brick police said.
She is accused of using a stolen credit card on Aug. 15 to make purchases of $55.58 at the 7-Eleven on Chambersbridge Road and of $357.73 at Designer Shoe Warehouse in Brick Plaza, police said, as well as an attempt to use the card at the Beauty Store at Brick Plaza for a $145.94 purchase.

Meo was arrested in June and charged with third-degree burglary and theft, criminal mischief and criminal trespass in connection with the theft of a horse from Crack of Dawn Farm on Grawtown Road in Jackson, Jackson Capt. Steven Laskiewicz said. Howell Sgt. Christian Antunez said she faces similar charges in connection with the theft of a second horse from a Howell Township property.
Meo is accused of stealing the horses in the wake of a court settlement that did not go in her favor, police said.

In a post on Facebook, Brick Township police thanked the public for its help with the credit card case.
"Thanks to all of the tips we received we were able to identify and charge a suspect from the August 15th credit card theft," the post read.
Meo was charged by Detective Michael Bevacqua, processed at headquarters and released, police said.
