
BOSTON -- Four Brick Township residents were among the more than 32,000 people who tested their marathon mettle at the the 119th Boston Marathon on Monday in Massachusetts.
They took on some of the best marathoners in the world, along with scores of competitive age group runners from across the globe.

- Christine Conti, 36, finished in 3:16.37 and was 4,182 overall, 515 among women.
- Brian Prendergast, 41, finished in 2:56.25 and was 995 overall, 951 among men.
- Samuel Spencer, 54, Bib No. 32508, a handcycle competitor, did not finish.
- Lori Bogert, 55, Bib No. 25151, did not finish.
The racing got underway shortly before 9 a.m. with the mobility-impaired competitors and the last wave of runners set off on the 26.2-mile course at 11:15 a.m.
