TRAFFIC ALERT: Bridge Avenue Closed In Bay Head

BAY HEAD, NJ — Bridge Avenue is closed due to a water main break between Club Dive and Lake Avenue after a water main burst in the borough, police said.

The closure means the bridge across the channel from Twilight Lake to the north end of Barnegat Bay also is closed.

Motorists will have to detour around Twilight Lake to access either Route 35 south or the main portion of the borough if they usually use the bridge. Police did not give an estimate of how long Bridge Avenue will be closed.
