Power Outage Closes Hooper Avenue In Silverton

Toms River police have issued a Nixle alert telling motorists to avoid Hooper Avenue in Silverton until further notice.

The road is closed between Church Road and Fischer Boulevard in both directions, Toms River police said, with power outages and lane closures leading to the shutdown.

Use alternate routes, police urge, and delays are expected to persist in the area into the afternoon, police said.
