TRAFFIC ALERT: Partial Closure Of Burrsville Road Set For Next Week

Motorists who travel in the northern part of Brick Township are warned that Burrsville Road between Jack Martin Boulevard and Lanes Mill Road will be closed during the day beginning Monday for paving, Brick police said Thursday.

The closure to northbound traffic runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Aug. 20, police said.

Burrsville Road southbound will remain open to traffic during that time, however.

Detours will be set in place either utilizing Route 88 west to Lanes Mill Road north to Burnt Tavern Road, or from Jack Martin Boulevard south to Route 70 east to Burnt Tavern Road, police said.

Burrsville Road will be open to traffic in both directions in the hours when construction is not taking place, police said.

The work is part of the Ocean County project to reconfigure traffic patterns in the area to help traffic flow more efficiently.
