TRAFFIC ALERT: Stay Off Barnegat Lane In Mantoloking

Motorists who try to avoid traffic on Route 35 by traveling Barnegat Lane between Bay Head and Herbert Street in Mantoloking will not be able to do so for about two weeks, officials said.

According to a notice posted on the Brick Township Police Department’s Facebook page, utility work related to the Route 35 reconstruction project is being conducted at the intersection of Barnegat Lane and Lyman Street in Mantoloking. Because of the work, the intersection is closed to all through traffic, the notice said.

Brick residents and others often use Barnegat Lane between Herbert Street and Bay Head to avoid traffic backups on Route 35.
