Traffic Delays On Route 70, Route 88 Following Crash In Brick

BRICK, NJ — A crash with an overturned vehicle led to the closure of Route 70 Monday night, causing delays and traffic jams on nearby roads.

The state Department of Transportation website, 511nj.org, said there were injuries as a result of the crash and Route 70 was closed eastbound east of Route 88, in the area of Olden Avenue.

The road closure was lifted as of about 6:30 p.m. but traffic in the area is still backed up and slow, authorities said.

Avoid the area if possible and exercise caution.
