Trampoline Park Event Set To Raise Funds For Police Officer's Family
SkyZone in Lakewood will be donating a portion of the ticket price to the family of Cpl. Scott Thompson.

Friends and members of law enforcement will be jumping in Thursday -- literally -- to assist the family of Manchester Cpl. Scott Thompson.
SkyZone in Lakewood, the trampoline park, is hosting a fundraiser for Thompson’s family tomorrow -- Thursday, Aug. 27 -- at the facility from 6 to 9 p.m.
Thompson died April 10 while working out in the gym at the township’s municipal building. He is survived by his wife, Tracy, and two daughters.

Leanne Barenbaum, SkyZone’s general manager, said $7 of each jump ticket will be donated to the fundraiser, and that Manchester police personnel will have additional fundraisers for sale at the site.
Ticket prices vary based on jump time, with allotments of 30 minutes to two hours available. A 30-minute jump costs $12, while $25 gets you two hours worth of flipping and bouncing.

For those not wishing to jump, there is food available for purchase, she said.
“We want people to have fun,” Barenbaum said, “and do what we can to help the family in this difficult time.”
Jumpers must tell the cashiers they are there to jump for the Thompson family. They also must sign a waiver.
Barenbaum suggests that jumpers call ahead to reserve jump times, but she said there likely will be some walk-up availablity. The facility can accommodate 173 jumpers per hour.
“We would love to fill the up the jump times,” she said.
