Tribute: Former Point Boro Mayor Lenny Arms, Colonial Ranch Owner And Brick Resident, Dies

Arms grew up in Plainfield before moving to Point Pleasant Boro in 1965, where he opened Lenny’s Famous Colonial Ranch Market on Bridge Avenue in Point Boro, and Lenny’s Silverton Market on Hooper Avenue in Toms River.

Arms and his wife, Mary, and their two sons, Darren and Adam, operated both locations for over 40 years.
Arms was a former mayor and councilman of Point Pleasant, and was known for his generous contributions and donations towards worthy causes and events, including local first responders, church and schools, according to Colonial Funeral Homes.

Arms was predeceased by his wife, Mary, and his son, Darren.
He is survived by his son, Adam, and his wife Jennifer; two daughters Frances Gibbons and her husband Gary and Desirea Bennett and her husband, Walter; his daughter-in-law Lisa Arms; one brother, Billi (Happy) Howard Arms and his wife, Carol; and 16 grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation was to be private.
