Both hearings are scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Brick Township municipal building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road.
The Temple Beth Or application seeks to turn the former Laurelton Funeral Home at 109 Pier Ave. into a synagogue. Its previous application was denied in October; the new application would restrict the Conservative Jewish congregation from holding other activities during worship services, and formalizes a proposed parking plan.

The congregation, which has been in Brick Township since the 1960s, has seen declining membership. It sold its former synagogue because of the shrinking membership. Rabbi Robert Rubin testified the congregation does not have young families and will not be operating a school.
Wednesday's meeting will be the first for Del Corp Holdings of Toms River, which is proposing to put nine buildings housing self-storage units and an office on the property at 345 Drum Point Road. There is a house on the property, which is in the village zone.
The self-storage property, to be known as Drum Point Storage, would be on a long, narrow piece of land surrounded by homes. An existing home would be turned into the office for the storage company.
Plans for the self-storage can be viewed here.
