WEATHER ALERT: Snow (Yes, Again) Will Make For Slippery Commute In Brick

The snow isn't expected to amount to more than a couple of inches, forecasters say.

The snow that started to fall across the area shortly after 7 a.m. means drivers should allow extra time to get where they are going this morning, forecasters say, but the impact is not expected to be extreme.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Brick and Ocean County, and a hazardous weather outlook for Ocean and neighboring Monmouth County, as the storm moves in from the south, warning of slick roads and hazardous travel during the storm. The winter weather advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. but the snow is not expected to last much beyond 9 a.m., with a maximum accumulation in Ocean County of 1 to 3 inches.

Counties farther south and into Delaware are expected to see greater accumulations; but the farther north you go in New Jersey, however, the less snow drivers are expected to see, according to the weather service.
