This Week In Brick: Council Meeting; Take The PARCC; Movie Night

It’s a busy week ahead in Brick. Here are some events you might want to be aware of:

Tonight, the Brick Municipal Alliance Committee meets at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.

On Tuesday, the Township Council meets at 7 p.m. at the municipal building. On the agenda is the final reading and expected adoption of changes to the zoning of the old Foodtown site, to remove residential zoning from the possible uses for the site.

On Wednesday evening, the Board of Adjustment is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. at the municipal building. The agenda was not yet available as of Monday afternoon.

On Thursday, parents whose children will be taking the PARCC test in March have an opportunity to learn more about the test and even take a sample test at a 6:30 p.m. presentation at Ocean County College. If you plan to go, you need to register in advance and you should bring wireless-enabled laptop or tablet.

Friday evening, take time to relax as the township’s Recreation Department hosts Family Movie Night from 7-10 p.m. at the Civic Plaza, 270 Chambersbridge Road. The movie is “The Box Trolls.” Admission is free. Free small water bottle for each child and popcorn is available. Under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
