This Week In Brick: Council, School Board Meetings; Movie Night

This is the third week of March, and the 11th week of 2015.

On Tuesday, the Brick Township Council meets at 7 p.m. at the municipal building. On the agenda is the first presentation of the 2015 budget by Mayor John Ducey, as well as the second and final reading and vote on an ordinance that would hold landlords responsible for tenants who repeatedly break the law.

On Wednesday, the Board of Adjustment meets at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.

On Thursday, the Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Brick Township High School.

Also on Thursday, Irish tenor Ronan Tynan is performing a benefit concert at St. Joseph’s Church, Toms River, to help the church raise funds to expand its food pantry.

On Friday, the Recreation Department presents Family Movie Night at the Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road, beginning at 7 p.m. The movie is “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” and admission is free. Children can bring pillows and blankets for floor seating. Free small water bottle for each child and popcorn is available. Under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
