This Week In Brick: School Budget Discussion, Library Events

This is the 17th week of 2015.

There’s not much on tap in terms of government meetings: The Brick Township Board of Education is scheduled to meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. The agenda has not yet been posted but a public hearing on the budget may take place.

Some events occurring at the Ocean County Library’s Brick Branch this week:

On Tuesday, it’s Perfect Penguin Day, with stories and a craft for ages 3-5 at 10:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, come join a sing-along at 5:30 p.m. For ages 7-12, there are stories, music and movement geared toward children with special needs but the activity is open to all.

On Saturday, it is the Brick Friends of the Library Boutique and Craft Sale fundraiser. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sale items may include pre-owned purses, scarves, jewelry, small picture frames, gift books, candles, stationery, shoes, decorator items and more. Homemade decorated cupcakes also for sale! Come and shop for a good cause! All proceeds to benefit the Brick Library.
