Why is tomorrow always the busiest day of the week?

Procrastination and putting off things can really weigh you down! How to get moving!

Have you ever heard the saying, "Tomorrow is often the busiest day of the week"? For many of us, no truer words have ever been spoken. There's a pile up of things to do left for "tomorrow", "later", or in the biggest pile of all- "someday"! The list of things you want to do and achieve are equally large- "change jobs", "save money", "start a business" and the most popular- "get in shape"!
How do you stop STOPPING, and start STARTING? Here's some ideas to get moving:
1- Make a list in INK - make it non-negotiable, a contract with yourself! Write a list of : I WILL....
2- Break it down by importance- prioritize! (I've been known to do something totally off task, and avoid what I NEED to do) Set your alarm clock to workout, lay out your clothes, have an accountability partner, do your food shopping and meal preparation! All these steps are important, but everyone is different, so you set the pace!
3- Break the BIG things down into smaller steps. For example; I will lose 5 pounds this month by eliminating sugary/salty foods, rather than, "I have to lose 50 pounds, so forget it, I can't do it"
4- Change where you work! Looking at that stationary bike in the dark corner of your basement may not be motivating enough to begin. Get with a friend, go to a class, get outside- anything that gets you excited! You can look at it this way; you may be moving slowly, but you're ahead of anyone who's still on the couch!
5- Set a deadline! Have a start date and a goal date! Check your progress regularly! There are some great trackers for "to-do lists", exercise and nutrition that you can download onto your smartphones!
6- Know your Roadblocks! If you know ahead of time what is going to cause a distraction, plan around it. It's not a good time to try to exercise when the kids get home from school. Maybe before anyone wakes up is your "Me Time"!
7- Surround yourself with people who ARE doing it! People who are goal oriented, and are striving towards things they want are very inspirational! Follow their lead, and good habits, and they will soon become yours! Get up and workout with your neighbor at 5am, join a recipe swap group for ideas to keep you from being bored and eating the wrong things!

Now is the time!!
