BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are seeking witnesses to a motorcycle crash on Herbertsville Road that injured two people.

Police said three motorcycles were traveling south on Herbertsville Road on April 25 shortly before 8 p.m. when the motorcycle in the back of the group accelerated forward and hit the motorcycle in the front, causing a crash near Schoolhouse Road.

Both motorcyclists were thrown from their bikes, police said.

The driver whose motorcycle was hit was treated at the scene for minor injuries, while the one whose motorcycle accelerated forward was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Brick Patrolman Daniel Fogarty of the Traffic Safety Unit is investigating and anyone who may have witnessed the crash or can provide any information regarding it is asked to contact Fogarty at 732-262-1140 or via email at trafficsafety@brickpd.com.
