Woman, Dog Clinging To Tree Rescued After Fall In Brick

BRICK, NJ — Firefighters rescued a woman and her dog who had fallen down an embankment in Brick Monday night.

It was about 6:44 p.m. on June 17 when Herbertsville Fire Company No. 1 responded to Winding River Road for a rescue assignment.

Firefighters found the woman and her dog had fallen about 10 to 15 feet down the embankment. The woman was clinging to a tree to keep herself from falling further, firefighters said.

A rope rescue reached the two and both the woman and her dog were brought to safety, firefighters said.

Firefighters thanked Brick police and Brick EMS for their assistance.
