10 More Bridgewater Roads Set To Be Repaved

The Bridgewater Council passed two resolutions awarding contracts to repave 10 more roadways in the township.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Ten more Bridgewater roadways are set to be repaved as the township council awarded contracts to construction companies to advance the 2021-2022 road improvement plan.

The Bridgewater Council unanimously passed two resolutions at a special meeting on Aug. 23 awarding contracts to Top Line Construction Corp.

The following contracts and roadways to be paved are as follows:

  • Contract awarded to Top Line Construction Corp. to repave the entire lengths of Killarney Street, Brahma Avenue, and Popular Street for a total of $712,083.74.
  • Contract awarded to Top Line Construction Corp. to repave the entire lengths of Dow Road, Beth Court, Alisyn Place, Powelson Lane, and Park Avenue with an alternate bid for the entire length of Madison Avenue and McKinley Street for a total of $922,905.70.

Along with the awarded contracts, the council also passed a resolution to hire Colliers Engineering & Design for their professional engineering, surveying, inspection services for the upcoming 2021-2028 road projects.

The services will look at the entire length of Sherlin Drive, Southbrook Drive, Cornell Road, and Newberry Street for a total of $141,300.

The construction work on these roads includes curbing, milling, paving, drainage, sewer and other miscellaneous improvements.

The repaving of these roads is part of the township's plan that Moench put into motion last year. The plan calls on the township to spend $8 million each year over the next 5 years to remedy the roadways after all of 600 township roadways were assessed and ranked from best to worst. All of the projects are funded through the 2021 Capital Fund.
