10U Bridgewater Panthers Win Cal Ripkin Championship
Panthers defeat Basking Ridge to win District 10 title.
After five lead changes, the 10U Bridgewater Panthers pulled out an 8-4 win over the Basking Ridge Red Devils in the 2013 Cal Ripken District 10 Championship on Friday, July 5 in Basking Ridge.
After starting with a tough loss to Hillsborough in the first game of pool play, the Panthers battled back to win their next two pool play games against Readington and North Hunterdon, which qualified them for the semifinals, where they defeated Branchburg to advance to the Championship game versus Basking Ridge.
The 10U Panthers are currently participating in the 2013 Cal Ripken State Championships in Matawan where they have advanced to the semi-finals after winning all three first round pool play games. The Panthers will next play on Thursday night (July 18)th.
