Multiple Somerset County Roads Remain Closed After Ida Flooding

Somerset County has been working tirelessly to restore roadways damaged by Tropical Storm Ida.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Multiple Somerset County roadways and bridges remain closed on Tuesday due to damage caused by Tropical Storm Ida.

"Somerset County has been working tirelessly to restore roadways damaged by Hurricane Ida, ensuring roadways are safe as we open more and more every day since the storm," said Somerset County.

Despite, the county's best efforts several roadways and bridges remain badly damaged and closed. Here are the current closures as of Monday at 1 p.m.:

  • Pleasant Run Road, between Ronan Way and Renda Drive, in Branchburg
  • Elm Street Bridge, both sides, in Branchburg
  • Chimney Rock Road, between Thompson Avenue and Gilbride Road, in Bridgewater
  • Easton Avenue, only one lane open at Cedar Grove Lane, in Franklin
  • Bridge on Canal Road, between Suydam and Butler Roads, in Franklin
  • River Road, from Mill Road to Opie River Road, in Hillsborough
  • Dukes Parkway East, between Taylor and Kimberly, in Hillsborough
  • Amwell Road, between Clerico and North Willow Avenue, in Hillsborough
  • Dukes Parkway East, between North Main and North 13th Avenue, in Manville
  • County Route 601, between Couty Route 518 to Camp Meeting, in Montgomery
  • Couty Route 518, between Crescent to Laurel Avenue, in Rocky Hill
  • Bridge on Dock Watch Hollow Road, between Washington Valley Road and Stonehedge Court, in Warren

This listing does not include municipal roads or state or federal highways.

Repairs will be ongoing and conducted by both Somerset County Road and Bridges Crews and approved contractors.
