17 Deer Killed In First Day of Bridgewater Hunt
Washington Valley County Park in Bridgewater will be closed again on Wednesday for the second day of the hunt.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A total of 17 deer were killed in the first day of the Somerset County Park Commission’s deer management program at Washington Valley County Park in Bridgewater.
A breakdown of the kills:
- 15 Does
- 1 Shed
- 1 Buck
The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife Shotgun Season will run through select dates in January and February in Washington Valley County Park and Duke Island Park.

Washington Valley County Park will be closed a total of six days including: Jan. 4, Jan. 11, Jan. 18, Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 and Feb. 8.Duke Island Park will be closed until noon for two days including: Jan. 17 and Feb. 7.
