18 Inches And Counting: Snow Totals In Somerset County

A blizzard impacted Somerset County on Sunday through Monday.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — As the winter blizzard left many to dig themselves out, let's take a look at what fell in Somerset County.

Monmouth County received the most snow, with 24.2 inches falling in Freehold. Morris County wasn't far behind with 20 inches in Chatham.

While we didn't receive as much snow, Somerset County definitely saw a good amount with Green Brook logging the highest in the County with 18.5 inches, according to the National Weather Service(NWS).

  • Middlebush - 18.0 inches as of 10 a.m.
  • Warren - 17.0 inches as of 7:30 a.m.
  • Hillsborough Twp - 16.3 inches as of 7:30 a.m.
  • Franklin Twp. - 16.1 inches as of 7 a.m.
  • Belle Mead - 16.0 inches as of 7 a.m.
  • North Plainfield - 16.0 inches as of 10:30 a.m.
  • Watchung - 15.0 inches as of 5 a.m.
  • Manville - 14.9 inches as of 6 a.m.
  • Basking Ridge - 14.5 inches as of 9:40 a.m.
  • Bedminster Twp. - 13.2 inches as of 9 a.m.
  • Bridgewater - 13.0 inches as of 7 a.m.
  • Bernardsville - 11.1 inches as of 7:41 a.m.

Here is a look at the upcoming forecast:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night: Snow likely after 1 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 17. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
