2 Knights Lacrosse Battles Heat and Opponents at Rutgers Tournament
Teams from all over the East attend Wednesday's tournament.
The facilities at Rutgers University played host to the lacrosse MVP Tournament July 5 through July 7. Teams from up and down the eastern seaboard took part in the competition.
The team from Bridgewater, represented by the 2 Knights Lacrosse Varsity Team, includes high school students from area schools, including Hillsborough, Seton Hall Prep and Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
"We think the players should have the experience of playing with athletes in addition to those on their high school teams," said 2 Knights co-director Andrew Apel.

Despite strong play, the team unfortunately lost in Wednesday's game, 5-4.
Local teams from Ridge and Chatham were also part of the high school team programs. Ridge and Chatham's teams are fielded as "futures" teams and only include up-and-coming players from those high schools.
