2 Somerset County Restaurants Named Among 30 Best In NJ

The restaurants were named in New Jersey Monthly's August issue of the best restaurants in New Jersey.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Two Somerset County restaurants have been named to New Jersey Monthly's annual list of 30 best restaurants in New Jersey.

Ninety Aces in Peapack and Gladstone and The Pluckemin Inn in Bedminster both made the list.

Ninety Acres, located at 2 Main St., made the list with executive chef David Felton running the kitchen for the past eight years.

The accolade can also be attributed to the desserts of pastry chef Lindsay Stewart and the restaurant's cocktails.

The restaurant's menu rotates seasonally. This summer there is the Acquerello Risotto with sugar snaps, snow peas, maitake mushrooms, leeks and brown butter.

The Pluckemin Inn, located at 359 Route 206 South, made the list following a promotion of Readington native and CIA grad Kevin La Femina to executive chef.

The credit can also be attributed to first year pastry chef Tanya Newell, who interned under Joe Gabriel.

The restaurant's menu rotates seasonally. This summer there is the Colorado lamb, panisse, wild mushrooms, chard, roasted peppers, tomato for $42.
