2-Year-Old Burned, Hospitalized In Raritan House Fire
A woman and two other kids(ages 1 and 5) were treated for smoke inhalation on Helene Place in Raritan on Monday.

RARITAN, NJ — One child was hospitalized with burns, and two other young children and an adult were treated following a house fire in Raritan Borough on Monday.
At around 2 p.m., Raritan Police and Fire were dispatched to a structure fire on Helene Place near the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater.
When police arrived, an adult woman and two children, ages 1, 2, and 5, were evacuated by a Raritan volunteer firefighter, who was first to arrive at the fire, said Raritan Police Lt. Everett Holt to Patch.

The second level of the house was engulfed in flames, said Holt.
A 2-year-old child suffered burns to one of her arms and was taken to a local hospital. A 1-year-old child, a 5-year-old child, and the adult were treated for smoke inhalation, said Holt.

The 2-year-old child who was hospitalized is in stable condition, said Holt.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 10 minutes, said Raritan Borough Fire Department Chief Brian Kredatus.
Responding fire departments included Raritan, Somerville, Bradley Gardens, Country Hills, Finderne, and Manville.
The fire remains under investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
