289 Coronavirus Cases, 32 Deaths In Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater is reporting 298 confirmed cases and 32 deaths of the new coronavirus for the township as of Thursday morning. Looking at the overall numbers, 11 percent of the confirmed cases in Bridgewater have died.

As of Thursday Bridgewater has begun to release more detailed information on the cases in the township.

Of those confirmed to have COVID-19, 49.6 percent are women, and 50 percent are men. There is no data on the remainder of cases.

The overall age range for the 32 people who have died from COVID is 40 to 100 years of age. Here is a breakdown:

  • 2 were under the age of 50
  • 2 were between 50 and 64
  • 9 were between 65 to 79
  • 19 were aged 80+

"Please note that many of the confirmed cases have since recovered, but the Township does not have a specific number of recovered cases at this time, though we are working expeditiously to collect and organize that information for public release," the township shared Thursday.

Somerset County reported totals may differ slightly because of reporting times and other variations. As of Wednesday the state is reporting 2,688 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 183 deaths in Somerset County.
