350-Pound Pig Picked Up By Franklin Police

The pig was released to his owner with no charges being filed

A 350-pound pig was “taken into custody” by the Franklin Police Department after escaping from his owner’s yard.

“There is no such thing as a ’normal’ day here in Franklin,” police posted on Facebook.

Officers responded to the area of Route 27 and Route 518 for “suspicious activity.” When they arrived, they found this 350 pound “suspect” trying to hide behind a tree.

“It turns out he thought the grass would be greener on the other side of the fence,” police said.

With some coaxing, officers were able to “take him into custody” without incident.
