Turf Field To Be Replaced For $383K At Bridgewater-Raritan School

The original field was completed in 2011 and has since passed its useful life, said school officials.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A sports turf field at the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School will soon get a facelift.

The Bridgewater-Raritan Board of Education unanimously voted to approve a resolution for the turf #2 replacement bid award at the March 22 meeting.

The vendor, Keystone Sports Construction, proposed a bid of $383,838 to place new ⅜" clean stone at $48 per ton, inlet filters at $60 each, and 4-foot high fence at $240 per link.

The original sports field, located behind the baseball field and next to Basilone Field, was completed in 2011.

"The turf has passed its useful life and thus needs replacing," said Executive Secretary to the Superintendent Suzanne Calabro.
