SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The Somerset County 4-H Fair is closed on Friday due to a Tornado Watch for Somerset County, the Somerset County 4-H announced.

A tornado watch has been issued to 17 counties in New Jersey including Somerset County until 2 p.m.

The 76th Annual Somerset County 4-H Association's annual 4-H Fair has had a rough go for 2024. It previously was canceled on Wednesday "due to weather and with concern for the safety of our 4-H families, fairgoers, animals and other 4-H projects."

The fair was only able to operate for one day on Thursday despite rain.

The three-day fair is held annually at North Branch Park in Bridgewater. It provides hundreds of 4-H club members an opportunity to showcase the skills that they have acquired while in 4-H through a variety of exhibits, demonstrations and competitions.

The Fair is the county’s largest event and attracts more than 40,000 visitors.
