4 Smash And Grab Burglaries Target Businesses In Warren
During each burglary, the suspects pried open doors or smashed glass entry doors to enter the businesses overnight on Tuesday.
WARREN, NJ — Four smash and grab burglaries targeting businesses in Warren Township were reported overnight from Monday into Tuesday.
During the overnight hours of Dec. 2 into Dec. 3, four commercial burglaries were reported in the area of the Pheasant Run Shopping Plaza off Washington Valley Road.
During each burglary, the suspect(s) gained entry into the businesses by prying doors or smashing glass entry doors, said Warren Police Chief Robert W. Ferreiro.

All of the locations were closed for business and unoccupied at the time of the burglaries.
The Warren Township Police Detective Bureau processed the crime scenes. Based on preliminary investigation, it appears that cash registers were the targets of each incident and, as of now, only cash has been reported stolen, said Ferreiro.

The Warren Township Police Department, in conjunction with surrounding police agencies and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, are diligently working on these investigations.
Similar burglaries reportedly happened in nearby Bridgewater Township as well.
"We urge all business owners to utilize their alarm systems, and to make sure their surveillance cameras (if applicable) are in good working order," said Ferreiro.
