491 Coronavirus Cases, 65 Deaths: Latest Bridgewater Update

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater is reporting zero new cases bringing the township total to 491 confirmed cases and 65 deaths of the coronavirus as of Thursday.

Of the positive coronavirus cases, 57.4 percent are women, and 42.6 percent men. The remainder are of unknown gender, according to the township.

Additionally, a total of 226 Bridgewater residents are "self-reported recoveries," according to the township.

Of the total deaths, the overall age range is 40 to 105 years of age. Here is the age breakdown for the 65 people who have died from the coronavirus:

• 2 were under the age of 50
• 5 were between 50 and 64
• 16 were between 65 to 79
• 42 were aged 80-plus

Somerset County has a total of 5,059 cases and 470 deaths as of Thursday, according to the state. Franklin Township is the hardest hit in the county with 1,355 cases and 135 deaths followed by Bridgewater and Bernards Township in terms of death rate.

• Green Brook Township: 146 cases (32 deaths)
• Hillsborough Township: 454 cases (65 deaths)
• Manville Borough: 158 cases (7 deaths)
• Millstone Borough: 3 cases (0 deaths)
• Montgomery Township: 124 cases (6 deaths)
• North Plainfield Borough: 332 cases (36 deaths)
• Peapack-Gladstone Borough: 40 cases (1 death)
• Raritan Borough: 122 cases (13 deaths)
• Rocky Hills Borough: 5 cases (0 deaths)
• Somerville Borough: 147 cases (7 deaths)
• South Bound Brook Borough: 85 cases (3 deaths)
