5 Shoplifting Arrests Made in Bridgewater

A total of five people were arrested for shoplifting at Bridgewater stores including a Somerville local, police reported.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A total of five people were arrested for shoplifting at Bridgewater stores including a Somerville local, police reported.

Bridgewater Police Blotter:

On Jan. 4: John J. Bakitas (age 64) of Somerville was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $80 from Marshalls at the Promenade Shopping Center. Bakitas was also found to have outstanding warrants from Raritan and the Somerset County Prosecutors Office. After being processed for the arrest, he was served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Jan. 5: Dvon Spicer (age 24) of Union was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $251 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. After being processed for the arrest, Spicer was served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 12: Nicole Sarf (age 36) of Manalapan was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $199 from the Apple Store at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Sarf was charged with shoplifting. She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 12: Justin Horowitz (age 22) of New Brunswick was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $298 from the Apple Store at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Horowitz was charged with shoplifting. He was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 13: James Manion (age 34) of Parlin was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $1,363 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Manion was also found to have outstanding warrants from Belleville, Hillside, Milltown and South River NJ. After being processed for the arrest, Manion was served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Jan. 16: Johnny Mitchell (age 45) of Newark was arrested for an outstanding Bridgewater warrant. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
