is playing host to a cardio boot camp every Monday and Wednesday through April 11. And so in honor of that, to get everyone in the mood for a little exercise, we present five different cardio workouts.
All information from About.com.
- Running—It doesn't require any special equipment, and can get your heart rate up more quickly than low or no impact exercise.
- Bicycling—You can burn lots of calories just by using the power of your legs. Plus, it can be used in your everyday life, because you can ride to work or use it to run errands around town.
- Swimming—It's a full body exercise, and the more body parts you involve in your workout, the more calories you will burn.
- Kickboxing—This exercise is pretty popular, and you can combine kicks and punches to use your entire body in your workout.
- Walking—It's very accessible and can be done at any time. An addition of hills, speedwalking or using walking poles can increase the benefits of the workout, and it's important to walk briskly.
