6 Charged With DWI, Shoplifting In Bridgewater

Bridgewater Police reported making 3 arrests for driving while intoxicated and 3 for shoplifting.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater Police reported making six arrests on charges including driving while intoxicated and shoplifting.

Bridgewater Police blotter:

On April 19 at 4:52 p.m.: A 28-year-old Plainfield woman was charged with shoplifting at DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) located on Commons Way.

On April 18 at 8:18 p.m.: An 18-year-old Franklin Park resident was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s on Commons Way. She shoplifted $77 worth of clothing. Brooks was released on
a summons with a pending court date.

On April 12 at 10:56 a.m.: Martha R. Ledet, 57, of Flemington was arrested for DWI after being stopped for motor vehicle violations on Route 22 east. She was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to Alcotest, and failure to maintain lane. Ledet was released and has a future court date scheduled.

On April 13 at 11:04 p.m.: Tejash Patel, 35, of Piscataway was arrested for DWI after being stopped for motor vehicle violations on Route 22 east. He was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to Alcotest, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and unclear rear plate. Patel was released and has a future court date scheduled.

On April 13 at 4:13 a.m.: Marquise L. Foster, 33, of Somerville was arrested for DWI after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Finderne Avenue. He was charged with DWI, reckless driving, obstructing safe passage, tinted windows and failure to change address on driver's license. Foster was released and has a future court date scheduled.
