1 Lane Remains Closed On Route 22 West In Bridgewater After Crash

The crash toppled a utility pole and wires across Route 22 in Bridgewater on Wednesday. Repairs will continue through the night.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The right lane on Route 22 west in Bridgewater will remain closed through Wednesday night after a crash toppled a utility pole and wires across the highway.

The toppled pole and lines were being reported in the area by Ronson Road and Interstate 287 north, Bridgewater Police reported at 1:25 p.m.

All westbound lanes were closed including the ramp from Interstate 287 north. All lanes reopened as of 1:50 p.m.

At 4:40 p.m., police announced the right lane on Route 22 west near Ronson Road will be closed for utility repairs until 11:30 p.m. as a result of the crash.

Drivers are advised to use caution in the area.
