Alpine Business Systems Supports JDRF

Continuing the monthly initiative to provide monetary support and essential supplies to the region’s non-profit community, Alpine Business Systems named the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) for NJ Metro & Rockland County Chapter as “Hero of the Month” for July, 2021.

Each month one of Alpine’s employees selects a non-profit agency for support. The JDRF was nominated by Irene Padula, Accounting and Finance Manager at Alpine Business Systems.

To support the employee’s selection of a non-profit, Alpine raises funds and collects material donations through employee contributions, social media outreach to clients and colleagues, and posting on www.alpinebiz.com.

In addition to the funds raised through Alpine’s clients and employees, Alpine Business Systems contributed $500 to the JRDF chapter.

The local chapter serves as the hub of JDRF information and events, providing support, community initiatives, and ways to join the fight to end Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). JDRF provides funding for innovative research while advocating for government action to providing a support structure for the T1D community.

“We are excited to partner with Alpine Business Systems to support the Type 1 Diabetes community in New Jersey,” commented Taran Connelly, JDRF New Jersey Metro & Rockland County Chapter Executive Director. “Our collaborative efforts are making a tangible impact on our work, providing support for newly diagnosed patients and families, and accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to enable better treatments, and ultimately cures for T1D.”

Explaining her choice of the JRDF, Padula commented, “I nominated the JDRF as Alpine Hero of the Month because of the way they impacted my life. My son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in August of 2005 at the age of 13. This was a very difficult diagnosis for the entire family and we quickly became educated on what life was to be. It was shortly after when I discovered JDRF and their dedication for providing research and advances toward improving the lives all people living with diabetes. With their continued efforts I am hopeful this challenging diagnosis will be no more.”

Previous recipients of Alpine Hero of the Month donations include the Adult Day Center of Somerset County, the Flemington Area Food Pantry, the Ronald McDonald House of Central & Northern NJ, Matheny School and Hospital, the Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) Resource Center & Food Pantry, Middle Earth, and the Food Ministry of the Reformed Church of Bound Brook.
