BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Somerset County 4-H Anime and Manga Club will host its 14th annual CloverCon on May 17, at the Ted Blum Somerset County 4-H Center, at 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater.
The family-friendly fundraising convention will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to anime fans of all ages and experience levels.
The day-long event will include panels on topics such as Hello Kitty, voice acting, classic anime and how anime conventions work.
Organizers also said attendees can expect a large Artist Alley and Dealers Area, anime screenings, a manga library, video games, tabletop gaming, and a Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
Other scheduled activities include a silent auction, a cosplay contest, and karaoke sessions for attendees.
Outside the 4-H Center, guests will also be able to visit a paver labyrinth, play volleyball, and take part in themed photo opportunities.
The 4-H Chinese Culture Club will again host the Clover Café and offer refreshments throughout the day. The event is organized through Somerset County 4-H and serves as a fundraiser.
"CloverCon continues to be a unique event where creativity, community, and youth leadership come together," said Betty Sommerville, event coordinator and 4-H Anime & Manga club leader. "We are excited to welcome returning fans and new attendees for another fun and memorable convention experience."
