MANVILLE, NJ — The Manville School District announced that Luke Weisenbach of Bridgewater has been appointed principal of Roosevelt School following approval at the Board of Education meeting on May 13.
The district said Weisenbach is scheduled to begin in the role on July 1.
According to the district, Weisenbach is a lifelong educator and a Somerset County resident.
The appointment was officially announced after the board’s approval at Tuesday night’s meeting, and the district said he will take over leadership of Roosevelt School this summer.
The district described Weisenbach as bringing experience and a commitment to student growth.
In the announcement, the district said his leadership philosophy is built on a "takes a village" mindset, with an emphasis on collaboration among educators, families and the community to support student success.
The district also outlined three areas that will guide Weisenbach’s vision for Roosevelt School.
Those priorities are academic excellence through data-driven learning, building a positive and inclusive school culture, and maintaining transparent, open communication.
According to the district, Weisenbach is also focused on strengthening school-wide kindness initiatives. The announcement said that work is aimed at making sure every student feels valued, empowered and safe at school.
