SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Summer may not officially be here, but the weather is already heating up in Somerset County.
Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 90 degrees on Thursday and remain in the 90s through Sunday.

Splash parks are also great for kids of all ages, even the tiniest ones who can't swim yet.
We've compiled this guide of local splash parks to help you and your family stay cool this summer.
Splash Park at Basilone Park, 25 Woodmere St. near JFK Elementary School.
Spray Park at Colonial Park, 156 Mettlers Road in Somerset, the 21-unit Spray Park is located behind the Morgan Pellowski Playground and is open daily from noon to 7:30 p.m. The 6,500 square-foot Spray Park on 1.6 acres is a children-only facility with parents permitted to accompany small children.
Arthur Lewis Park Spray Park, 59 Green Brook Road, Green Brook, includes 28 water features that run in a 10-minute, hand activated cycle in an enclosed, fenced-in setting with concrete flooring. There are a few tables within the fenced-in area. Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends only until June 10 then 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Labor Day.
Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center (JCC) Amy & Seth Geldzahler Splash Pad, 775 Talamini Road in Bridgewater, is ADA compliant and includes more than 15 water elements.
John Long Spray Park, 85 Mercer Street, is open daily from 11 am to 6 pm, weather permitting.
Michael Lepp Splash Park, 22 Park Avenue, opening has been delayed due to technical difficulties.
Pleasant Valley Pool Water Play Area, at 3405 Valley Rd, Basking Ridge. (For members only or guests of members). The water play area has two slides, a rope climb, interactive water features and a big bucket splash. Children under 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
