BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A pickup truck carrying pesticides caught fire on a Route 22 exit ramp in Bridgewater on Thursday, said police.
At around 2:37 p.m., the pickup truck was reportedly on fire on the exit ramp from Route 22 westbound to Chimney Rock Road, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Stephen Zeichner.
Nobody was injured as a result of the fire.
Volunteer fire departments that responded were Finderne, Green Knoll, and Martinsville. Additionally, County Hazmat came due to possible chemicals on board.
"The fire has been extinguished and there is no danger to the public," said Zeichner.
The ramp was temporarily closed on Thursday as a result.

The Finderne Fire Department, which covers the southeast section of Bridgewater Township, is always looking for volunteers.
