BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Locals looking for a live comedy show this fall will have a chance to see seven stand-up comedians in one night at a fundraiser for Open Door Arts Center.
The nonprofit's "Comedy Night" is scheduled for Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. at The PeopleCare Center Auditorium, 120 Finderne Ave., Bridgewater.
According to the event announcement, the lineup includes headliner Johnny Watson, who has been featured on Saturday Night Live, Comedy Central and Good Morning America.
He will be joined by Gregory Korostishevsky, Sue Ryerson, Steve Schwarz, Kelly Shannon, Mike Bonner and Winstein Armstrong.
The event will benefit Open Door Arts Center, known as ODAC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt visual and performing arts organization.
According to the organization, ODAC is comprised of volunteers and its purpose is "to entertain, enrich, and educate by presenting visual and performing arts to the local community and surrounding areas."
Tickets are $20. Tickets can be purchased in advance beginning Sept. 1 through ODAC's website at opendoorartscenter.org/tickets, or at the door.
The organization noted that tickets bought at the door will be available for cash payment only.
The announcement states that some material may include mature content and may not be suitable for all audiences.
For accessibility questions, people should contact Christopher Rollings, creative director, at 732-356-0101.
People who want more information about upcoming events and performances can visit opendoorartscenter.org.
ODAC is also seeking volunteers to support what it called its growing creative team.
According to the announcement, the group is looking for actors, directors, writers, stage crew members and others interested in the performing arts. The organization said no experience is necessary and all are welcome.
