BRANCHBURG, NJ — Branchburg will host its Food Truck & Music Festival on Sunday, Aug. 30, at White Oak Park, with fireworks planned at dusk to close out the day.
The event is scheduled for noon to 9 p.m. at 235 Baird Road, with admission set at $5 and free entry for children under 5.
The festival is being held in conjunction with Branchburg Township and will benefit the township's four fire companies: North Branch Volunteer Fire Company, Readington Volunteer Fire Company, Country Hills Fire Company and Neshanic Fire Company.
Organizers are also asking attendees to bring a non-perishable canned or boxed item to support the food pantry.
The festival will include 20 gourmet food trucks, vendors, beer, margaritas, sangria, live music and a long list of activities for children and families.
Activities include a bungee trampoline, rock wall, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, inflatables, knockerball, miniature golf, sand art and spin art. Dogs will also be permitted.
Music is scheduled throughout the day, with Captains of Leisure set for noon, Mr LoveJoy at 3 p.m. and Pure Petty at 6 p.m.
The beer garden is expected to feature Lone Eagle Brewing selections including Flemington Fog IPA, Sunshine Honey Blonde, Station Haus Lager and Sour.
Red and white sangria, regular and strawberry margaritas and daiquiris, and strawberry vodka lemonade will also be available.
Participating food trucks listed in the announcement are Angry Archie's, The Brownie Bar, Chanks Pizza Cones, Chef J Latin Dragon, Chow Wow, Cubita Truck, Dags Dippers, Dan's Waffles, Hold My Knots, Kielbasa n More, Kitchen 787, Mac Truck, Mozzarella God, Pudgy's Fries, Rolling Pita, Sandwich Freak, Seasonal Sarah, Taxicab Burger and Uncle Sal's Eggrolls.
Organizers encouraged attendees to bring lawn chairs, pop-ups, and blankets and to stay through the evening for the fireworks display.
