BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A large mulch pile caught on fire on Monday night in Bridgewater.
The fire was reported off Mount Horeb Road at Washington Valley Road in the Martinsville section of the Township around 8:30 p.m.
As a result, the road was closed for about two hours while volunteer firefighters from Martinsville and Green Knoll worked to extinguish the blaze.
The road was reopened around 10:30 p.m.
The Green Knoll Volunteer Fire Department responds to more than 600 calls a year, providing fire protection to life and property in the Township of Bridgewater.
