Barrio Burrito Bar Opens 1st NJ Location In Bridgewater (patch.com) β Bridgewater diners have a new option with Barrio Burrito Bar opening its first New Jersey location in Bridgewater Towne Center on Route 202. Replacing the former Smoothie King, the spot offers made-to-order burritos, bowls, tacos, and other Tex-Mex favorites prepared with fresh ingredients.

House Fire Sparks In Bridgewater Home's Garage (patch.com) β A house fire in a Drum Hill Road garage in Bridgewater's Martinsville section was quickly brought under control Tuesday morning by volunteer firefighters, with no injuries reported. Investigators now believe the blaze likely stemmed from foundation work rather than an electric car charger, and multiple neighboring departments and local agencies assisted at the scene.

BRHS Senior Creates Basketball Program to Provide Free Training (TAPinto.net) β A Bridgewater-Raritan High School senior has launched Elite Hoopz Training to offer free and low-cost basketball instruction for local kids, focusing on fundamentals and confidence. The program has already served dozens of young athletes and is now seeking volunteer coaches, donations, and equipment to expand sessions and an upcoming sports gear drive for families in the Bridgewater community.

NGK Ceramics Operate at Avnos DAC Facility (sustainablebusinessmagazine.net) β A new Project Brighton facility in Bridgewater is now using NGK's ceramic honeycomb components to capture up to 450 tonnes of CO2 and produce about 475,000 gallons of clean water each year. Run by Avnos at its Technology Development Center, the site tests hybrid direct air capture technology that could link to data centers, fuel plants, and carbon storage hubs. Performance data here will shape future large-scale carbon removal projects.
