📰 News we're reading

1. Route 22 data center fight reignites as developer sues Bridgewater (mycentraljersey.com) — Bridgewater Township is being sued again over its new data center ordinance for the Route 22 Greymark Redevelopment Area, potentially reshaping what can be built on that prominent 27.89‑acre site. The case challenges whether the township's stricter rules can override the already approved redevelopment plan, leaving nearby residents and drivers along Route 22 watching closely for impacts on traffic, noise, and future development.

2. Somerville Circle housing lawsuit dismissed, but fight may return (mycentraljersey.com) — A proposed affordable housing project tied to Bridgewater's court‑mandated housing plan near the Somerville Circle has seen its lawsuit dismissed for now, but the fight could return. State transportation officials must still rule on a highway access permit, which will determine whether the case is revived and how traffic, emergency services, and new veteran and affordable units are handled at this busy gateway.

3. BRHS Senior Creates Free Art Platform (TAPinto.net) — A Bridgewater‑Raritan High School senior has launched GalleryGo, a free online platform that connects local artists with cafés, libraries, restaurants, and other community spaces looking to display artwork. Designed and built in Bridgewater, the site already hosts about 20 artists and aims to make it easier for residents, businesses, and creators to share and discover art across town and beyond.

4. Estradiol Gel Recalled Due to Defective Container (hmpgloballearningnetwork.com) — A Bridgewater-based company, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, is recalling one lot of estradiol gel because some packets were found empty or only partially full, raising safety concerns. Local pharmacists are urged to quarantine Lot 245226005B and help patients switch to alternatives. Residents using estradiol gel for menopausal symptoms should check their packaging and contact their pharmacy or prescriber if concerned.
