Authorities Crack Down on Township Massage Therapy Businesses
Three foreign-born nationals arrested on warrants.

An investigation into several massage therapy businesses in Bridgewater has resulted in three arrests and several violations of township ordinances being issued.
The violations were issued to National Spa Therapy, HTNJ, Studio Acupressure, Bridgewater Therapy, New Horizons, Bridgewater Holistic Therapy, Sky Spa, H&K Service, Inc. and Median Care, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano and Bridgewater Police Chief Richard Borden.
Arrested were three foreign-born nationals, Shan Shu Han, 40, Ying Zi Piao, 41, and Chunyu Yu, 47. All three were arrested on outstanding warrants, authorities said.
The investigation was initiated after authorities received a number of citizen complaints about the businesses, including the solicitation of sexual acts, Soriano and Borden said in a statement.
In an effort to safeguard employees against human trafficking, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, the Bridgewater Police Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and the township’s code enforcement and zoning enforcement divisions inspected the massage therapy businesses, authorities said.
