Barricaded Person In Custody Following SWAT, Police Stand-Off In Bridgewater

Update as of 12:30 p.m.: There is no further threat to the public, according to Bridgewater Police.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A person who had barricaded themself inside a condo in Bridgewater is now in police custody, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Kevin Lamey.

"One person is in custody and there is no further threat to the community," said Lamey to Patch.

The incident is still an active investigation and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office will be releasing more information.

On Friday, Nov. 10, Bridgewater Police, SWAT, and Officers with the SCPO were on Columbia Drive in the Finderne Heights Condominiums, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office(SCPO) Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman Jr. said.

Authorities had closed off the surrounding streets as they handled the situation.
