Battle & Brews History Walk, Pub Crawl Hosted In Bound Brook
The Borough's Battle & Brews event will pair downtown history stops with food samples and drinks for purchase.
BOUND BROOK, NJ — Bound Brook will host the 8th Annual Battle & Brews Historical Walking Tour & Pub Crawl, a free walking tour and pub crawl through downtown on Saturday, April 11.
This is part of the annual Battle of Bound Brook Living History Weekend. The 21-and-over event is scheduled for 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and will begin outside the Brook Arts Center in downtown Bound Brook.
The tour will share stories about Bound Brook’s history as the oldest town in Somerset County while also highlighting what is new in the borough.

Participants will stop at locations along the route for food and drinks. Some partners will offer free food samples, and beverages will be available for purchase at each bar.
"Each year, Bound Brook is pleased to be able to highlight its part in the Revolutionary War," said Borough Administrator Jasmine McCoy. "We are especially excited this year to showcase the Borough with America, celebrating its 250th anniversary. Our annual Living History weekend allows residents and tourists alike to immerse themselves in activities that remind us of how much went into creating our nation. This historical walking tour and pub crawl spotlights Bound Brook’s role in American history while getting to enjoy food and drinks from our local establishments."

The event is being hosted by the Borough of Bound Brook with support from Gateway Affairs. Registration is encouraged through Eventbrite, and the event will take place rain or shine.
"Bound Brook’s business partners look forward to hosting the Battle & Brews event each year," said Emma Lamperti, Recreation Program Coordinator for the Borough of Bound Brook. "Attendees that join us in Bound Brook for this tour get to know more about the Borough’s rich history and check out some of our unique venues. We hope that you will find more to love about Bound Brook and keep exploring."
The tour gathers and checks in outside Brook Arts Center at 10 Hamilton Street, Bound Brook.
Tickets are free. Attendees must be 21 or older to participate. The borough is encouraging advance registration.
