Battle of the Undefeated: Panthers Vs. Blue Devils

Bridgewater-Raritan advances for the first time to the championship since 1974

For the first time, Bridgewater-Raritan Varsity Football team will compete for the 2015 New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association North 2, Group 5 Championship since the records began being kept by the NJSIAA in 1974.

The Panthers with an undefeated record of 11-0 will take on Westfield’s Blue Devils (10-0) on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. in MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

“It’s been over four decades since Coach Greiner’s teams went unbeaten in over three consecutive seasons as a high school football dynasty that was Bridgewater East,” according to BRHS’ football facebook page. “The new Bridgewater-Raritan High School hasn’t seen a perfect season in this sport since the merger between east and west.”
